This will actually be not on "Never A Dull Moment" and it`s just a verse over a chopped chanson with a bassdrum and a snare, but the way these two approach things make me hella hyped about July 27th when this shit drops ...hmm that`s still a long time to go ...for now just listen to the song above and this right here.
Lee Bannon actually got his name from Ghostface and the WU slang when they said ... Lebanon. Haha. And I am not makin this up. Watch the video below.

If you scroll through our blog you have realized that we are huge fans of Stalley`s music. So when we had the chance to ask a couple of questions we immediatly said: let`s do it. Upmost respect to Stalley and Dan for making it happen.
# Please introduce yourself to everybody who doesn`t know about you yet?
Peace Germany, this is Stalley from Massillon, Ohio, 330. I’ve been rhyming for about 3 years now and live in New York City. I’m currently independent.
# We know that you originally come from a small place in Ohio, but then moved to New York. Did you feel like you had to move in order to push your career as a rapper or what was the reason for that?
Yea, basically. I originally came to NYC for school, but when I moved back home and saw how it was out there I knew I would have to move back to NYC to really get anywhere in the music industry.
# When was the first time that you thought that rap would be something you could live from?
The first time I thought I could live from music was probably on July 14, 2009 when I dropped The Autobiography and performed at SOB’s in front of a sold-out crowd. That whole experience made me think I could really possibly do something with music.
# We also know that you are a big Madlib fan. What are your favorite three Madlib beats of all times?
The first three that come to mind are Fancy Clown from the MadVillain project, Distant Land from Shades of Blue and The Healer from Badu’s New Amerykah joint.
# How/when did you get in contact with Ski Beatz?
Well I linked up with Creative Control for the video for “Autobiography” and once I was around DD172 it just happened naturally since Ski is always at the dojo workin’.
# We really like "Pressure" (produced by Micheal Sterling Eaton). Maybe you can tell us something about the way how you approach these songs? It seems like you are extremly serious about everything you say and stand for. Where does this seriousness originate from?
I grew up in a city where everything is hard and you have to work to get where you wanna be, so I take that and apply it to my music, especially when I’m drawing on those experiences. The beat also took me to a place where I was reminiscing about the hard times and the trials and tribulations that I’ve been through. I just wanted people to know that amidst all the pressure, you can overcome and find peace. In this case it was about me being from a small city and going somewhere with bright lights and just trying to get over that.
# Now tell us something about the "Address" video with Curren$y and Ski Beatz and the whole journey. It seems like you wrote the verse during the video shoot, because it fits just perfectly. How was the creative process for this project?
I wrote and recorded the song in Jamaica and basically the verse just reflected everything I saw there. I just put myself in a Jamaica state of mind and focused on the sun, the trees and everything around me. I really wrote that at an exact moment and the lyrics just show how I felt right then. It just so happened that we shot the video there and it came out how exactly Jamaica felt to me.
# What will be next?
Right now, I’m working on finishing a project with a very dope producer named Rashad from the 3rd in Columbus, Ohio. We’re really gonna be taking my sound somewhere new and different. I’m also working on an entire project with Ski Beatz that should be incredible.
# Any links you want to get across?

This is for my homie Rayan Malik who listened to The War Report as much as I did. This record right here sounds as if they never made a wack record in between. This is the CNN I`ve been hoping for. Produced by The Alchemist.
Mos Def is only on the hook, but we have a Jay Electronica on here too. This is majestic. Let`s see if there will be a video for this song. Pilot Talk is the name of the album, cover is dope as hell, beats are crazy plus Devin is on it. Go get it.

Now I saw this a couple of days ago, but somehow ignored the play button. We posted numerous songs off the new The Roots album (just search for it on the top left of the screen) and after listening to "How I Got Over" for so many times now I have to say it`s very radio friendly, but every single song is good.
The video is süper nice, too. Directed by Jason Goldwatch.
Well if this were a Flipmode forum where everyone could post their ideas and requests I`d scream for a Busta/RahDigga collabo in form of a whole LP...
Don`t know if this is actally off Rah Digga`s next album entirely produced by Mr. Nottz or if it`s off Nottz album featuring Digga ... anyway, this beat is a beast.
I like checking mails, for the listening session, and much more when i find tapes like this one."TeV95 - Loop Language",is very smooth, romantic and soulful. An clear and simple instrumental tape.Im vibing on it.

Download: Prince Paul – Horror City 1995
Prince Paul, the legendary producer dropped "Prince Paul – Horror City (Unreleased LP) 1995" via twitter. This is an amazing gift, from a peron who had a strong ascendancy on Hip Hop in the 90's.And the story continues.
Prince Paul wrote:
This was a project that I wanted to put together with Amityville MC legend Superstar . as I thought about it more I wanted to recruit more Mcs we knew to make it diverse . Superstar already had the name "Horror City" so wen recorded under that name . This project was recorded right after the first Gravedigga album " 6ft deep"in 1995 . I shopped the demo but unfortunately it got looked over and never got signed . I sat on this project for a while but it always had a dear place in my heart because I thought it was really good and the talent was there . I stripped some of the music from the demo and put it on " a prince among thieves" and actually had a few of the guys perform on the " Thieves " album as well but to be honest I always liked these originals better . So now I have decided share these songs with all of you because holding on to them made no sense .. why not share great music . Hopefully you the listener will enjoy this project as much as I do . please share it , thats why I made this for free download . For more group info please log on to http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000981527022 for a proper bio of "Horror City"

Wow,Wow,WOW!!Now,I got it.Today I received a mail from Worldaroundrecords.com,with a music submission on " J Dante & Man Mantis - Whole New World EP".I went the typical way, opened the bandcamp link in my browser, started listening to the music, then returned to the mail to look for some more informations and opened the label site. And while im grubbing threw the artists section i found a name i acclaimed on,the last weeks.Yes it is S.Maharba.This dude made me sick after listening to his E.P.'s "S.maharba - s/t" and "S.maharba -She".By the way,you recognized "Dr. Quandary - Beyond All Spheres of Force and Matter" ?.You have to, it is very poetic.So,Dr. Quandary is also part of the Worldaroundrecords Fam*.Dont forget that label name, because i m sure,we will hear some more fantastic music in the next months.Enough for the moment, play that nice "J Dante & Man Mantis" E.P..out

Now how about some major stuff. I mean my brotha SOLO always finds out about those neverheardbeforeundergroundcats, I keep you update with the heads you already know (and your little sis, too). This time it`s the now sober Marshall with his big homie Dre who took some time out while working on Detox...ehmm...
This reminds me of the real Eminem and the real Dre (not that Jay-Z joint)...more like the "Slim Shady" LP.It`s actually a Bonus track off the new Eminem album "Recovery".

Today is the day of coincidence.I found this E.P. via Bandcamp and that deep lyricist "SEV STATIK" is a real dope Mcee.Nice story teller with a gift for creating images,or better "speaks in images".Beats and Cuts are fresh and accomplish the act to a small magnum opus.Big Shouts to: Sev Statik,(Beats) DeeJay Tone,( Guests) Sojourn, Wonder Brown, Nomis, Mark Arthur, Sareem Poems and Ruslan.(Cuts) DJ Ex-O.
I found this Beat Tape per coincidence and after the 1.st impressions i decided to post the Tape. The problem was, that i couldnt find any informations about "Me Myselph & Eye".After a while i recognized a 2.nd version of this release with "tags" on it and i found some names. One of these names is "Project Prospect",who i met the 1.st time @ Generation Tapedeck. The other names,(dont know how they contribute) are Matt Earley, Mario Stokes, Rick Breezy, Thesis & Theory. Now back to the beats, which are soulful and show the talent of young producer "Project proscpect".Great Soul Samples and a hot drum assortment. All 7 tracks are cogent (Im sure this tape is his first one).Yo.!
We posted the Single "J. Cole - Who Dat" some weeks ago.Hers is the One Take Video for the Kids in the field.Who Dat? Who Dat?.Directed by BBGun.35mm 2.nd take.

I really enjoy listening to these Reefer Boys (Curren$y, Smoke DZA, Stalley, Devin The Dude,...). It is just so fuckin laid back. The Beats always play a big part of it ...so after we saw Von Pea make his beats on the NI Maschine, here we can catch a glimpse of how Ski Beatz makes his music with the help of Ableton Live.
Maschine and Ableton Live8 ..the perfect combination.
By the way this is off Smoke`s upcoming mixtape George Kush Da Button.
Download: Falside – Jesus Shaves - The Beat Tape
Falside*s new Beattape is a BoomBap Beat oasis. The last weeks we got many posts with that new avantgarde beat kidz,so this is a nice alternation. We love Beat Tapes! Thanks "Falside" for "Jesus Shaves".One of my Fav's is "Summer Style Fantastic",you can listen above.Yihaa!
The second single from Aloe Blacc's forthcoming Good Things is a 7-inch of “Femme Fatale”, Aloe Blacc & Truth+Soul's take on the Velvet Underground classic. The instrumental is on the flip side of this heavy 7-inch slab of vinyl.
My favourite RSS Feed since i have an RSS Fead Reader (HAHA,since 10 days),is the Feed from "Stonesthrow Records".Click the Play button above and you will know why!Amazing Soul Song, the Album will be great!Peace.
02.The Seed - God Like [Jake One/White Van Music]
Download: The Seed - BREAKINGROUND // Mixtape (via DjBOOTH)
Following months of anticipation, West Coast up-and-comers The Seed have released their free street album, BREAKINGROUND, presented by Wild Style Technicians and Dyse One Clothing.Mixed by DJ Demon and Adikt 1, the 21-track mixtape is designed to give listeners a taste of what to expect from the rising rap duo’s forthcoming studio album.
More stuff from the Uk,for the people in the field."Delusionists" with the new LP "Prolusion Plus".Some really dope Beats at this Lp,you will find "Jon Phonics" in Track nr. 2 (dope Beat Homie). But i cant talk so much about the Mcees, they rappin on point and doing a good job,but in some parts to difficult to understand the british accent.Doesnt matter Boys!
After some previews in the last weeks, here we got the Beat LP from "the OPUS".I like that cloudy and abstruse sound, but I hope their will be more levels & alternations in the next releases.Download via Bandcamp.Give these nice guys a listen.YO ADAD!visit "the OPUS"

Ok to tell the truth I am not convinced. Trademark and Young Roddy aren`t in C`s league and only leave room for a 16 from the Spitta.
The reason why I post this:
1. so I can remind you of these two Spitta songs with Fiend
2. because this freaky cover (Illustration by David Barnett) makes me want to buy it on vinyl which comes with a 2m x 2m poster...
The Album is out tomorrow (USA) or on the 2nd of Juli over here in Europe. Today I found another leak on dallaspenn.
I also saw the album leak yesterday, which is a pitty, but I guess the album is strong enough to compensate that. Plus playing for Fallon and all the touring should have them in a comfortable position.
I feel sorry for Drake though...ehm..no.
Sunday, June 20, 2010
Dejoe has been a long time friend of mine and really got me into diggin in the crates. My music would not sound the way it does without him ...ok before I break out in tears let me introduce his latest mix with the homie Wax B (wuz up man?). Dejoe told me there are about 120! records in this mix. You might be familiar with his "All Samples Cleared" series...now this is Samplepedia.
I saw this at generationtapedeck a while ago, but without the "official" cover and not for download.
This is big and perfect for a sunday. Get it.
Ps.: ey die suchen dich, alta...
Jake One brings that perfect bassline...every time. I really thought Fatal had one of the best tracks on the Jake`s Town Biz Mixtape when it came out. Now these two Seattle heads bring it again.
Homeboy Sandman blesses us with a new track produced by Lotus (not Flying Lotus). The beat sounds a little old and simple, but Sandman know how to flow.
Give it a try.
DJ CHIEF-ONE - 1992 MIXTAPE (2010) by DJ CHIEF-ONE
Bring it back to the 90's.Dj "Chief One" mixed the Highlights from 1992 and presents a great journey in HipHop music.Only dope Stuff on that Tape, remembering "Main Source – Fakin the Funk"?HAha..-> Gang Starr – DWYCK!!Big up for that year of rap history (check the tracklist) and Dj Chief One for bringing it back!!via PIMB.

I have seen a lot of these M.O.B. Battle videos on numerous blogs and pages and got a little curious. Normally these "I shoot you and stick my dick in your girl" Battles are wack as fuck, but listen to these two. Plus just the fact that somebody thought about some graphic design and a good camera makes this worth watching.
Don`t know who the actual winner is. What do you think?

I had this in my playlist for quite some time (actually it`s been two months since this one dropped)...and I want you to check this guy out. Young De has been B-Real`s protege for a while now and you probably know "super producer" Scoop DeVille from Snoop Doggs "I Wanna Rock" and Fat Joe`s "Slow Down (Ha Ha)". I think both of these cats are really interesting. Watch the two clips above to check more of their collaborative efforts together with the Get Busy Committee. Sometimes a video is way better than a photo. Check out Micheal Sterling Eaton`s studio and footage above. Mp3 below.

Sometimes it`s that simple: you meet somebody on twitter, click a link and find some heavy beats. Now he sends us one of his beats from his page. Do yourself a favour and get to know this guy. By the way this guy will be competing in the 2010 Denver Red Bull Big Tune Beat Battle. Good luck, homie.
